These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Quick Share ("we", "our", "the app") governing your access to and use of the app. By downloading, signing in to, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and capable of forming a binding contract to use the app. By using the app, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Using the App
Quick Share lets you send and receive files directly between Android devices over a local WiFi connection created by the app, using your own Google account to sign in. You must sign in with a Google account and grant the specific permissions the app requests, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app is an independent, third-party tool and is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Google LLC beyond its use of Google's official Sign-In service.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your Google account credentials
- All activity that happens through the app while signed in to your account
- Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account, to the extent it relates to the app
4. License to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal use. This license does not permit you to copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse-engineer the app, except where prohibited by applicable law.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app to:
- Transfer content that is illegal, infringing, obscene, or otherwise violates the rights of others
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any code designed to damage or disrupt another person's device
- Attempt to access another user's device or data without authorization
- Reverse-engineer, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the app
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the app outside of normal use
6. File Transfers & Content Responsibility
Quick Share only provides the technical means for two devices to transfer files directly over a local WiFi connection. We do not review, monitor, or store the content of any files transferred through the app. You are solely responsible for the files you send and receive, and for ensuring you have the right to share them.
7. Intellectual Property
The app's design, code, logo, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that intellectual property to you.
8. Third-Party Services
The app relies on Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication to function. Your use of those services is also governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for outages or changes in Google's services that may affect the app's functionality.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the app available and working correctly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. File transfer speed and reliability depend on your device's hardware and local WiFi conditions, which are outside our control. Features may change, be modified, suspended, or discontinued over time, with or without notice.
10. Disclaimer / No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from use of the app — including loss of files during transfer or device damage.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party in connection with files you transfer.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated. You may stop using the app and request deletion of your data at any time by signing out and revoking the app's access from your Google Account settings, or by emailing us below.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us before pursuing formal proceedings.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
